Preservation Trust of Spartanburg
Former City Manager Roy Lane had a vision. He saw the then overlooked neighborhood of Hampton Heights as an asset to the City of Spartanburg. With the help of a handful of Hampton Heights residents, he formed the Preservation Trust of Spartanburg to revitalize and restore this historic neighborhood. The Trust has restored homes, increased homeownership, and created greater community awareness of historic preservation.
