Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office
It is the mission of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office to provide
services to our citizens that meet or exceed the professional standards
established for internationally accredited law enforcement agencies. To
provide equal enforcement and protection of the law, without prejudice
or favor.
Spartanburg Public Safety Department
The Public Safety Department is comprised of the following three
divisions: Police Services, Fire Division, and Technical Support.
Within the organization, there are 144 sworn law enforcement, 69
firefighters, and 44 civilians. The Public Safety Agency provides
emergency police and fire response for a residential population of
approximately 47,000, which swells to a daytime population that exceeds
125,000, which includes workers outside the city limits.

The public safety staff provides safety and security for the campus
community. It is also a goal of the staff to uphold and enforce campus
regulations and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Officers are
trained and certified through the South Carolina Law Enforcement
Division.
