Bethlehem Center
The Bethlehem Center, established in 1930, is currently a multi-service
Agency providing an array of programs to residents in Spartanburg
County. The Center's day care facility has the capacity to serve 48
children between the ages of two and five. After school tutorial
services, fine arts, sports and recreational activities, scouting,
seasonal camping, primary prevention, and leadership programs for
community youth are also available.
Programming for adults includes Bible studies and fellowship, nutrition
programs, life skills sessions, as well as sewing and craft classes.
A computer lab is maintained for all program participants and community
residents.

Advocacy Center of Spartanburg works to facilitate
a collaborative, child-focused approach for the effective prevention,

Christmas in Action is
a one-day home improvement project in which volunteer teams repair the

is a program which addresses the need for positive creative outlets for
inner-city youth. COLORS' mission is to develop young talent by
providing the opportunity for them to experience the power of their own
creativity. These students are able to come to an after school
environment where paper, paint, pastels, charcoal and clay are provided
for their creative development. Participants are supervised and
encouraged by professional art instructors.
Community Food Bank
of the Piedmont
is an umbrella organization serving as a central distribution warehouse
for hundreds of food pantries, emergency shelters, churches, food
kitchens and other ministries across the Upstate. Through our network
agencies, The Community Food Bank of the Piedmont is able to reach the
nearly 175,000 hungry individuals living in the ten (10) counties we
serve. Among this harsh figure, nearly 60,000 are children.

housing ministry building simple, affordable homes for deserving, needy
families. Habitat homeowners buy their homes at cost with a 20 year,

building their own home or other Habitat homes. We provide a "hand up"
instead of a "hand out".
Hope
and Light Foundation is dedicated to funding
research to eliminate SMA, a deadly genetic disease and the leading

Meals Service of Spartanburg
Mobile Meals is a home-delivered hot meal service for the homebound of
Spartanburg County who are unable to prepare their own food. No charge
is made for the meals, delivered Monday through Friday, and there are
no income or age restrictions for potential recipients. Volunteers are
the “life line” of Mobile Meals; it takes at least
150
volunteers per day to see that meals are delivered to the 2,000
recipients served each weekday.
