Adult Improv Workshop with 2015 Artist-in-Residence

If you thought “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” looked like a lot of fun, now is your chance to get in on the action.

The 2015 HUB-BUB/Spartanburg Little Theatre artist-in-residence, Anna Abhau Elliott, will teach an adult Intro to Improv Workshop at the Chapman Cultural Center’s black box space on Saturday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

This introductory class will teach the basics of improvisation: setting the scene, committing wholeheartedly to a character, and using “yes and” with a partner. Elliott recommends that participants come ready to ready to use their imaginations, surprise themselves and laugh. During her residency, Elliott will also be co-hosting weekly improvisational “jams” at HUB-BUB’s Showroom on Sunday evenings, if you want to keep developing your skills after the workshop!
