BMW Charity Pro-Am Volunteer Registration and Ticket Sales Open

Officials from South Carolina Charities, Inc., the non-profit that manages the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, recently announced that volunteer registration and ticket sales for the 2015 tournament are now open.

Volunteer registration and ticket sales are two of the three risk-free programs that the tournament provides charities to earn funds. The third program is the selling of teams in the tournament’s one-day pro-am events.

“The opening of ticket sales and volunteer registration is an exciting time of the year for us because it means that charities can officially start earning funds,” explained Morgan Fields, program manager for South Carolina Charities, Inc. “It also means that the tournament is just a few short months away, and getting more than 1,000 volunteers registered during that time is paramount. The tournament wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers.”

The Volunteer Program gives individuals the opportunity to earn $20 per day for the tournament charity of their choice. Also, once charities reach 50 volunteer workdays, they receive a $2,000 bonus. In 2014, this program generated close to $100,000 in charitable funds.

Volunteers are urged to register early to get the position they desire and to take advantage of early-bird registration, which is $40 through April 17. On April 18, the registration fee increases to $50. The fee covers the volunteer’s uniform, credentials for the volunteer and a guest to attend the tournament, food and beverages during workdays, the volunteer celebration and more. Visit bmwcharitygolf.com to register or to learn more about becoming a volunteer.

Selling tickets to the tournament is another way for charities to earn funds. Charities will receive 100% of ticket sales funds up to $20,000. The tickets eligible for the 100% donation are Daily ($10), Patron ($25) and Clubhouse ($50) Credentials, all of which are available for purchase at bmwcharitygolf.com.

“Buying tickets online is an easy way to support our charities, and for just $10 you get the chance to attend a world-class sporting event right here in the Upstate,” said Bob Nitto, president of South Carolina Charities, Inc. “With its pro-am format and three-course rotation, it really is one of the most unique golf tournaments in the world.”

The third risk-free opportunity for charities to earn funds is through one-day pro-am team sales in the BMW Performance Driving School Pro-Am on Wednesday, May 13. Foursomes in the event range from $7,500 to $9,000 and include golf with a Web.com Tour professional, gift package, food, beverages and a driving session at the BMW Performance Center. Charities receive half of the purchase price for each new team sold. For more information about teams in the BMW Performance Driving School Pro-Am, contact Mike Ivester at [email protected].
