William Thomas Thompson of Greenville, SC has created an expansive series of paintings on the themes of Biblical Revelation and Social inquities in Western Society. The exhibition is on display at Spartanburg Art Museum through May 3. The work of William Thomas Thompson has been exhibited in art museums across the US to great acclaim. This exhibit will engage your senses and challenge your perspective on art as a means of expression. William Thomas Thompson, who has created an expansive series of paintings on the theme of Biblical Revelation, has had his work exhibited in art museums in Atlanta, Baltimore, Las Vegas, Seattle and St. Louis. Approximately half of his work deals with Biblical themes. Other topics critically address social problems and inequities which Thompson recognizes in Western society. The Chapman Cultural Center, owned and operated by The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, is the community's preeminent common ground where the people of Spartanburg County and its visitors come together to discover, experience, and celebrate the performing and visual arts, science and history.
