Regional singer-songwriters perform weekly at Chapman Cultural Center as part of its Sundays Unplugged program.
Open 1-5 p.m. every Sunday, the Center provides casual and cultural entertainment for all ages, most notably with its free concert series featuring a different band or musician of varying genres each week, 2-4 p.m. Art and history museums are open with free admission to complement the music.
Harana, the group name for father/daughter duo Greg and Allana Farmer, will be featured this Sunday, March 1. Having performed on stages throughout the Upstate in the past four years, their repertoire includes a variety of modernized arrangements. Their songs pull from an assortment of genres: traditional and popular folk, spiritual, jazz, and classical. Harana relies on solely acoustic instrumentation to tell listeners raw musical stories, with vocal interpretations scattered throughout each live performance.
Concerts are complemented by free admission to Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg, Spartanburg Art Museum, Spartanburg Regional History Museum, and the Student Galleries. Spartanburg Science Center is open with a small entrance fee.
