There is no better way to celebrate the return of springtime weather than with a round of golf. The Clifdale Elementary School Relay for Life® Team is offering golfers a chance to hit the green for a good cause on April 26 at the third annual "Tee Up for a Cure" golf tournament. Spartanburg.com is a proud sponsor of this year's tournament, and all Spartanburg-area Relays for Life.
Play at the Four Man Captain’s Choice tournament begins with a 2:00 p.m. Shotgun Start at Meadowbrook Golf Course. Prizes will be awarded; free rounds of golf at area courses await the first- and second- place teams, and trophies will be given to all first-, second-, and third-place team members. There will also be prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive. This year's tournament features a raffle for a 19-inch flat-screen TV, donated by Dunagin Heating and Air. Each player will receive one free raffle ticket at registration, and additional tickets are available for $1.00 each. The drawing will be after the tournament; you do not have to be present to win. A silent auction will also be part of this year's festivities. Up for auction is a three-day weekend package at National Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC, with golf, breakfast, and dinner for two! All golfers can expect gift bags, lots of great door prizes, and refreshments provided by Chik-Fil-A Hillcrest. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life® Spartanburg event. Relay For Life® is a fun-filled overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer in our community. At the event, participants celebrate survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society in its mission to save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back.
