Tigerville Fire Department is holding the first Tour de Tigerville this coming July 18th, 2009!
The ride begins on the 18th at 8:00AM and will be a 45K ride that takes participants on a scenic route throughout the entire district. Registration for the ride is $30 and will include an event t-shirt as well as lunch after the ride. The registration deadline for this event is June 30th; riders who miss this deadline can still register for $30 but will not be provided with an event t-shirt. Drawings after the ride for great prizes including gift certificates, gym memberships and two rides in the Med-Trans One helicopter! All proceeds will go to purchase much needed firefighting equipment for the station so that Tigerville Fire Department may better serve and protect the community. A water and first aid station will be provided at the halfway point. A map and cue sheet will be available at the station on the day of the race. Lunch will begin at 11:00 AM followed by drawings for prizes and a raffle drawing for a ride in the helicopter. Those interested can register at http://tourdetigerville.eventbrite.com/.
