Fork Creek
Lawson's Fork is now accessible to paddlers who want to put in
at Whitney and float to the Cottonwood Trail, a distance of 4.5
river miles. A crew from V. Palmetto Builders has completed work
on the "put-in" just below the dam, along U.S. Highway 221.

Spartanburg Area Tennis Association
is an organization that runs the men's USTA tennis leagues in the
Spartanburg Area. SATA offers Adult (ages 19 and up) and Senior leagues
(ages 50 and up).

Spartanburg Ski and Outing Club
is a group of people with many and diversified interests. The original
primary focus of the club was skiing , but members now enjoy additional
group activities such as a night out bowling, hiking, attending
theatrical productions, rafting/kayaking trips, dining out once a month
at local restaurants, super bowl parties, and an annual "pig roast".
Spatanburg Swim Center
Large, indoor heated pool with eight lanes for lap swimming and a
separate shallow end for water walking, water aerobics and watertherapy
classes. The facility is a division of the Spartanburg County Parks and
Recreation Department and is open year-round for instructional, lap and
recreational swimming. The Swim Center also boasts a Nautilus room for
a total workout. The pool is available for rentals by individuals or

Spartanburg Youth Soccer Club
The Spartanburg Youth Soccer Club is a not-for-profit
organization striving for excellence on and off the soccer field. The
day to day operations are overseen by a large volunteer group led by
the Board of Director's, along with a full-time Executive Director of
Administration and Coaching. The Club offers a full range of
opportunities including girls' and boys' recreational, developmental
and select teams. SYSC provides a positive soccer experience for
players in the Upstate.
Trident Area Youth Soccer Association is affiliated with South Carolina Youth Soccer Association, United States Youth Soccer Association, United Soccer Federation, and Federation Internationale de Football Association.
Upstate Mountain Bikers Association
The mission of the UMBA is to provide an organization to work with
local land managers to build and maintain a network of trails to
improve the mountain biking experience of its membership. Maps, trail
status reports, and event calendars are available on the website.
YMCA of Greater Spartanburg
Y-Spartaquatics
The Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club is a year round competitive swim team
located in South Carolina's upstate. YSSC is a program of the YMCA of
Greater Spartanburg and competes in both USA Swimming and YMCA
sanctioned meets.
