Information

Prentiss McDaniels is a current candidate for a Master of Music in Clarinet performance at Converse College under the direction of Karen Hill. Ms. McDaniels performs with the Converse College Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, and Symphony Orchestra, serving as Principal Clarinet since 2017. She was selected as a winner of the Converse College Young Artist Competition in 2018, performing Artie Shaw’s Concerto for Clarinet with the Converse College Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. McDaniels graduated from Converse College in 2008 with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education and maintains a studio of woodwind students in Spartanburg, SC. She has appeared as a guest artist and lead masterclasses in woodwind techniques in Spartanburg County high school and middle school bands, as well as the French Woods Festival for Performing Arts in Hancock, NY. Her recital will feature Rossini’s Introduction, Theme, and Variations for Clarinet, Piazzolla’s Tango Etude No. 3, Schumann’s Drei Romanzen, and Cahuzac’s Cantilène.
