Information

After being closed for over two months, the Greenville Zoo is ready to welcome you back!  We will open May 29 – 31 for a special members-only weekend and will officially reopen to the general public on June 8. It’s not too late to purchase a membership to qualify for entry on the special members-only weekend!

To ensure safe social distancing, only a limited number of tickets will be available each day and will only be available for purchase online. We will not be able to accommodate guests without an online reservation, including members.

Before You Arrive

Please visit the Tickets page to reserve an entry time. The maximum number of tickets that can be purchased or reserved is 7.

When You Arrive

Masks are encouraged for guests age 3 and up and will be available for sale at the ticket booth if needed. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

The zoo will be one-directional and interior exhibits (Ektopia), water fountains and playgrounds (Cub Kingdom and the Nature Nook) will remain closed.

The gift shop will be open but capacity will be limited. An arm pull will provide a touch-free way to enter the gift shop and “hoof prints” on the floor will guide guests through the store and up to the register.

Restrooms will be open, with foot pedals to allow hands-free entry.

Concessions will be open and drink machines will be available. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food to enjoy at one of our picnic areas. Picnic tables will be spaced to allow safe social distancing and sanitized regularly.

Safety Measures

All zoo staff will follow the CDC recommended guidelines, including daily temperature screenings, the use of facemasks, frequent handwashing and social distancing. We encourage you to follow these same guidelines. Please stay home if you’re sick.

High-touch surfaces will be sanitized frequently and hand-sanitizing stations will be located throughout the zoo. Visual markers, protective barriers and capacity limits will also be in place.

The health and safety of our guests, our employees and the animals is our top priority and we appreciate your understanding and support. Please call us at 864-467-4300 with any questions you may have.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
