PRIVATE EVENT FOR ONLY FINE ARTS CENTER DANCERS & PARENTS!

If you are a dancer with hip and spine weakness, pain, or limitations — or you are a dancer who wants to avoid hip and spine injuries — then this workshop is for you!

Dr. Thomas Denis is a physical therapist and a dance rehabilitation specialist for Purposed Physical Therapy. He will be coming to The Fine Arts Center to provide a free, one hour long, interactive workshop on hip, core, and spine stability.

This workshop will educate dancers and family members on various exercises to improve hip and core stability in order to decrease a dancer’s risk of injury and improve their dance capabilities.

Join this event and we will see you for a fun workshop that will extend your dance career!

“The best way to overcome an injury is to just avoid one. Staying injury free can result in longevity in one’s sport, and longevity results in sport success!” – Dr. Denis

Dr. Denis has experience working with the University of Miami (FL) athletics, Miami City Ballet, and the US & French Olympic teams (2016). His company’s goals are to: (1) to get injured athletes better faster so they can return to their sport, (2) keep athletes from getting injured so they stay involved in their sport, (3) provide direct access for patients so they can overcome their injuries faster, and (4) be a primary source of rehabilitation and health information for the local dance community.
