Are you a beginning teacher worried about managing a classroom? Are you a veteran teacher needing a boost? Workshop participants will learn how to build a positive classroom community, creating structures and procedures that encourage students to think, collaborate, and design.
The workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of preservice, beginning, elementary or secondary teachers.
The Masters Series at Converse is a purposeful gathering of Converse alumnae with the
goal of continued professional development. These workshops are hands-on and
relevant to the ever-changing classroom landscape. Speakers are always graduates or
faculty of Converse College.
Lana Greene (’99) is the Spartanburg School District Three 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year. She currently teaches AP US History and Psychology at Broome High School while also advising the Model Arab League Delegation. She holds certification in elementary, deaf education, secondary social studies. Mrs. Greene’s endorsements include gifted and talented education, AP US History,AP European History.
This event is free to students and the general public. A certificate for one hour of recertification credit will be provided.
