Chapman Cultural Center Offers Summer Day Camps

Chapman Cultural Center will offer nearly 70 day camps this summer for students of all ages.

They will be able to paint, act, dance, experiment, and dig up history throughout the summer in camps that last anywhere from a single day to more than a week, from a morning or afternoon to all day.

The camps will be offered by Chapman’s Partners: Spartanburg County Historical Association, Spartanburg Art Museum, Ballet Spartanburg, Spartanburg Youth Theatre, and Spartanburg Science Center. Toddler Dance
The perfect beginning class for every two-two to wear a tutu to class. Each little dancer will be introduced to ballet class fundamentals. Must be 2 years old by June 1. Required: ballet slippers, pink tights, any color leotard.

Disney Kids on BROADWAY Starring… “You”

Surviving the Back Country
Learn the skills that Native Americans, early European settlers, and Revolutionary War soldiers used to survive the wilds of the Carolina Back Country. Make fire using ancient techniques, use stone-age hunting weapons, make your own angling equipment, forage for food like a militiaman on the march and more at this camp for adventurous boys and girls! CAMP RULES:
• For a full day of science, pack a lunch and stay all day. Supervised lunches will be provided, noon-1 p.m.
• Each camper should bring a snack for each session. Snacks will not be provided.
• To ensure a great camp experience for every child, Spartanburg Science Center reserves the right to remove disruptive campers. If a camper is asked to leave, all fees will be forfeited for the entire camp.
• Cell phones, card games, and hand-held devices are prohibited at camp. These items distract from the learning environment. If these items are found during class time, they will be removed and returned to the camper’s parent/guardian at the end of the day.
