Doyle Lawson, the popular American traditional bluegrass and Southern gospel musician, returns to the Upstate on Saturday, December 6 for a lively performance at Chapman Cultural Center. Lawson will be joined by the group Quicksilver.
Lawson is a Bluegrass legend called a “mandolin virtuoso” with “perfectly silken harmony” by The New York Times. Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver have multiple Grammy nominations and are seven-time winners of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)’s Vocal Group of the Year award. In 1997, “There’s a Light Guiding Me” was a 39th Annual Grammy Award nominee for Best Southern Gospel, Country Gospel or Bluegrass Gospel Album. Doors to this event open at 6:45 pm with drinks and live music in the lobby. The performance start at 8:00 pm.
