Raised in Southern California, Timothy L. Marsh is a doctoral candidate in Creative Writing at the University of Wales Aberystwyth. His stories have appeared in Ninth Letter, Barrelhouse, Fourth River, The New Welsh Review, The Los Angeles Review and The MacGuffin.

He has been a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, a graduate exchange scholar at Auburn University, and has likewise received scholarships from the Squaw Valley Writers’ Workshop and the CAMAC Centre d’ Arts. Most recently his work was longlisted for the New Welsh Writing Award: World Wildlife Federation Prize for Writing on Nature and the Environment.

“New terrain is a beautiful thing. The Writers House Program feels like that kind of special opportunity that so many young authors fantasize about, yet seldom or never have the privilege to experience. The thrill of a new community, the excitement of new landscape, the chance to meet other writers and share ideas about art and life in general–all these are terribly attractive and worth anticipating.” – Timothy Marsh
