A service of the Carolina Pregnancy Center in Spartanburg offers abortion recovery support groups for persons experiencing emotional issues following an abortion.

S.C. Respite Coalition

S.C. Respite Coalition is assisting families with opportunities to find a break from care-giving responsibilities in assisting a member with special needs. The coalition can put families in touch with agencies who may have sources of funding or volunteers to provide sitters or facility services for children through senior adults.

Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse

Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse therapy group meets 7-8:30pm Tuesdays at the Children’s Advocacy Center. All new members must meet with Susan Luna for an interview prior to beginning the group.

AccessHealth Spartanburg

AccessHealth Spartanburg connects clients who are low-income, residents of Spartanburg county, and who are un-insured or under-insured get connected to free/affordable healthcare. This non-profit is set up to connect people with doctors who have donated their time and services in order to receive medical assistance. We are located at 631 N Church St. Spartanburg, SC 29301

Donate Blood

The nation’s blood banks, represented by the American Red Cross, American Association of Blood Banks, and America’s Blood Centers, are asking for immediate blood donations to boost already low blood supplies. Blood is traditionally in short supply due to the holidays, travel schedules, inclement weather, and illness.  Individuals are asked to support their local blood centers by making and keeping an appointment to donate immediately.

Brain Injury Alliance Support Group

Brain Injury Alliance Support Group for survivors of brain injury and stroke, family and caregivers, meets the second Tuesday of Each month from 6:45 to 9:00pm at St. Francis Anglican Parish, 601 Webber Rd. Call for more information.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous is an international, community-based association of recovering drug addicts. Started in 1947, the NA movement is one of the world’s oldest and largest of its type, with nearly twenty thousand weekly meetings in seventy countries. Membership is open to any drug addict, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drugs used.

Parents Helping Parents

Parents Helping Parents meets on the second Monday of each month in the North Spartanburg First Baptist Church at 6:30pm. This group supports parents who have a child or loved one with special health care needs. Call for more information.

Narcotics Anonymous Helpline provides help and support to those addicted to narcotic substances.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous holds meetings in several Spartanburg locations at a variety of times. AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Parents Without Partners
