9th Annual Laugh for a Child on February 5th

Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg will host the ninth annual Laugh for a Child event on February 5th, 2015 at the Chapman Cultural Center in downtown Spartanburg.

Laugh for a Child is an evening of laughter that helps provide healthy smiles to Spartanburg County children. Healthy Smiles’ mission is to promote dental care for children through outreach, education and free screenings for all children, as well as free dental care clinics for those who qualify. Their children’s dental care program covers school-age children in grades K4 – 12 in Spartanburg County, including those who are home schooled.

The show will feature Nate Bargatze. Nate is an American actor and comedian from Old Hickory, Tennessee. He’s known for his special on Comedy Central Presents, has appeared multiple times on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He was part of Jimmy Fallon’s “Clean Cut Comedy Tour,”and won New York’s Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival in the same year. He wrote for the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and has performed multiple times for the troops in Iraq and Kuwait. He was mentioned in Rolling Stone by Marc Maron as a “comic who should be big” and in Esquire by Jim Gaffigan as one of the top up-and-coming comics.

Doors open at 6:30 PM with heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and silent auction.

Tickets are available to the general public for $75 per person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
