The Alzheimer’s Association–South Carolina Chapter– is a non-profit charitable tax-exempt, voluntary health organization dedicated to family support, education, research, and advocacy. There are approximately 5.1 million persons affected by Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia in the United States. It is estimated that nearly 70,000 of those are in SC.
