The Miniature World of Trains is seeking $800,000 in support to build a new semi-permanent location in Greenville, SC. Without the influx of support, the new Miniature World of Trains will not come to fruition.
Anyone can invest or donate to help create the new MWOT that is projected by organizers to have a net profit of $17,000,000 by year 7 in 2027.
The estimated profit is based on the attendance from the old MWOT beta test. The new location will be next to the main shopping area at Haywood Mall in Greenville, South Carolina. The company expects that attendance should far exceed the 40,000 visitors per year that the test location had.
Organizers are hoping the funding goal is met very quickly so that they can open the Christmas Model Train Display(TM) by the 2019 holiday season and the new Miniature World of Trains(TM) display in early 2020.
There are three other displays planned as well to follow shortly thereafter.
