Saturday, October 12, 2024 Bayard Wootten Photography Exhibition Reception: Light & Air, Photographs of Tryon, the Western Carolinas, and Beyond
Eliada Fall Festival and Corn Maze Yoga + Beer
Join Tryon Arts & Crafts School in celebrating the opening of a new gallery exhibition! Bayard Wootten is celebrated as one of North Carolina’s most remarkable, versatile, and productive photographers. While she photographed throughout the state from her home base in New Bern, she spent time in the 1930s documenting life and nature in the western Carolina mountains, including Tryon. Her compelling images of our region’s past, as well as a few other locales, will be on display at Tryon Arts and Crafts School from August 24 to October 18.
The photographs presented consist of archival pigment prints made from digitizing the original negatives in the Mary Bayard Morgan Wootten Photographic Collection in the North Carolina Photographic Archives at UNC, Chapel Hill.
The opening reception, on August 23, will highlight some favorite foods of North Carolina. There will also be future lectures on Wootten by her collection’s archivist Stephen Fletcher and Dr. Lili Corbus who will re-present a lecture on women photographers in Tryon from 1890 to 1950 (including Wootten).

Join Sigal Music Museum for its monthly afternoon tea on June 20, 2024, at 3:00 in the afternoon. Held in the museum, the event will feature savories, sweets, and other fancies! Reserve a table and bring your friends for an afternoon at the museum. Tickets for tea include the price of admission to the museum, so you are invited to explore their exhibits before or after the event.
A seat for tea is $25.00 per person or $100.00 to reserve a four-person table. Seating is limited to 20 maximum (5 tables). Due to our limited capacity, please note that reservations will not be held until payment has been received.

The Bourbon Experience
Saturday, November 2 | Sessions Starting at 11:30 AM
Spend an hour exploring the bourbon portfolios of more than a dozen distilleries. Sip on premium spirits selected by experts who will guide you through their unique flavor notes. Timed sessions start at 11:30 a.m. and are one hour long. Tickets to the Bourbon Experience are included for Super VIPs and sold separately for all others.

Bourbonpalooza
Saturday, November 2 | Session I from 1-4 PM | Session II from 5-8 PM.
The headlining event of the weekend, Bourbonpalooza will showcase the Upstate’s best culinary minds as chefs face off with their most inspired BBQ or bourbon dishes and bartenders battle it out with their most creative bourbon cocktails. Entertainment options will include a mechanical bull, an artisan craft market, and live music, plus a tailgate area streaming live college football games. This event is all-you-can-eat and all-you-can responsibly drink. If bourbon isn’t your thing, there will be plenty of beer, wine, and spiritless beverages available so that everyone can enjoy the festivities.
